I'm new to this forum and am not sure exactly where to post to get a little translation help. I'm trying to translate a song and am having a little trouble with the usual dictionary and on-line aids and was hoping someone here could help.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I tried the machine translation and as you said, it wasn't quite right. In fact, I couldn't even glean a good meaning. How would I go about asking a sr. member or an admin. this question?
Hi Jack, look at the change of title, for the next thread include your words or sentence directly into the title.
There is no need to ask any specific member, because somebody is a Sr. member he won't give you any better answer, you might get the same help from a newbie. You just have to be patient

It's not impossible and it's quite easy: just click on "My Page", select Username and Password from the menu on the left, then update your screen name.
I think the message saying "The administrator does not allow usernames to be changed" means you can't change the name you use to log in to the site, which is not the same as your screen name.
For starters you are missing a letter. It's supposed to be acercastes. "...y luego te acercastes a mi." ---| "I heard you say my name and later you came near me." I think that should be the correct way.
Just wish I had more conviction because I thought it was a misspelling. "My first thought was "I heard you say my name and then you approached me". However, on checking I found the verb acerarse - "to steel oneself", and that's when the doubt "se me acercó".

Who said they don't. I've been Q and Quentin on this forum besides what I'm using now (all the same account).
It ssems that you are correct, however. That change must have come with the new host. If you go to your profile page and look under Username and Password there is a message that says that the Administrator does not allow username changes.
I'd contact one of the administrators explain your situation and see if they would make an exception. Before we were changing our names and avatar/photos as often as Heidita does now. It probably made keeping track of your discussions (yes, they used to do that. You could go back and see any reply that you had ever made here).
Anyway, I'm sure that they no longer want you to change your username on a whim, but if you had a legitimate reason, they could certainly do it.
Perhaps is we knew the name of the song we could discover which verb is correct.

I don't know why I care about this, but it's got me curious now.
If it has to be "perfecta" then I would suggest asking a Administrator, Sr. Member, or a Native.
I wouldn't read anything into that Sr. Member title that isn't there. All you have to do to be a Sr. member is answer or submit x amount of posts. Ask 1000 stupid questions or give 1000 stupid answers and you will earn the title. If you need an example, look no farther.

I might like to change mine, too. I think mine was assigned automatically according to my email address, but I'm not for sure on that. I just accepted whatever, because I had no idea if this would be something I would use just one time or many.
