We could also then say it means crutch, no?

I wouldn't think so, but who knows what poets really have in mind when they take poetic licences? Strictly speaking, you cannot be "addicted to someone" so I guess anything just as poetic works fine.

Funny how a single sentence can create so much discussion smile

Si! It's funny how things work out that way.

Creo que es como decir que "You're my vice" en inglés.

I think that's a good possibility, but you could also say "I'm addicted to you."

I agree with James that "I'm addicted to you" is the literal meaning.

En Verdad es "You're my Vice"

a propósito, Selena was not Mexican. She was born in Texas, and Spanish was her second language.

I believe "vice" in English implies a character flaw (the opposite of "virtue"), whereas "vício" in Spanish can be applied to anything you are obsessed about without necessarily implying immoral behaviour. I'd say "I'm addicted to you" is closer to the original meaning in the song.

As to Latin, there are five major languages that descend from it: Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian. Linguists call these Romance languages. From what I've seen Italian is closest to Latin while Romanian is furthest.
