Semana means week. For example: This is the first week of school. Esta es la primer semana de escuela.

Hi Terry,

Welcome to our Spanishdict community Forum. smile

You asked:

¿Qué quiere decir, semana?

Firstly, you need a comma , after the Spanish word decir,

If you simply want to know (find out) what a basic word means in English or Spanish try using our Spanishdict translator.

Here is a direct link that you can use: enter link description here

I wouldn't recommend the translator for complex sentences or idioms but it is capable of offering reasonably accurate answers on single words or basic sentences such as how are you? or I want a sandwich.

For example I tested its capability to translate the English idiom: 'It's raining cats and dogs' and it offered: llueven gatos y perros which is very literal, nonsense and wrong! One correct translation for this idiom is: Está lloviendo a cántaros

I hope this helps smile
