Gary, Yesero, Rest in Peace

Question

I took the liberty to join the forum only for this post as Gary was such a good friend of mine.

I am extremely sad to say that Gary, yesero on the forum and former moderator, passed away after suffering a massive stroke.

Many people will remember him , a good man, a good friend to his friends and a formidable moderator .

Adios, amigo, que descanses en paz.

My thoughts are with his family.

He was a lovely person and I was always happy to see him on SD.

I am so sorry to hear this. My deepest condolences to Sue and their kids. I had the honor of meeting them at their house and talking on Skype with him many times. I am heartbroken at the news.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. Gary was always very nice to me and to everyone. I really appreciated his warmth and kindness. This is so very sad. :(

Very sad news indeed.

Realmente me entristece saber que nuestro amigo Yesero ya no está con nosotros. Descansa en paz amigo. Recuerdo muchos momentos divertidos cuando leía sus ingeniosas respuestas. También recuerdo su constancia en el aprendizaje y por supuesto, su amabilidad para ayudarnos a nosotros los hispanohablantes.

Permítanme recordarlo como era: Un completo caballero amable y tenaz, sin olvidar que era muy chistosito. Está era la respuesta más divertida que recuerdo de él:

I never met him or his family in person but I remember him with affection as an enthusiastic contributor in all of our late night Skype chats!

Fuera del foro nunca tuve el placer de conocerlo, pero me encantaban las charlas con él pues siempre fue un verdadero caballero "el yesero".

A todos de su familia, les acompaño en el sentimiento y sepan que aquí él será una person extrañada, de por sí había mucho tiempo que ya no andaba por aquí y desde ese entonces esa pérdida ha sido nuestra.

I am shocked ! Gary was a dear friend and a treasure as a human

Being and a man. He was a rock to his wife Sue during her illness and never

failed to enquire about us all. He will be missed and mourned.

Garys avatar was "Yesero" -plasterer ,he was a "master plasterer"

and did some incredible complicated work , making him a great"artisan" .

He worked hard on SD and was a great and respected moderator here ,

he became a terrific roll model to us all , to know him was to love him.
