Welcome to the forum.
Can you add your level of English and Spanish to your profile? Eg fluent or advanced English and beginner or intermediate Spanish. The information helps anyone answering your questions or assessing your answers. The country where you are based is useful but up to you.
Are you doing an exercise on direct and indirect objects and is this the one you are stuck on?
Study Spanish.com has some good articles on all aspects of this.
Can you recognise the difference between a direct and indirect object in English? I found when I went back to Spanish classes I needed to revise grammar terms.
Indirect objects are usually to me/you/him etc. In Spanish they are the opposite way round to English eg Spanish indirect object first.
With third person singular and plural if there is a direct and indirect objects you do not write le or les, you write se followed by lo/la or los/ las.
It is very important to work out how to use the indirect and direct object pronouns including where to place them - look at where they go with imperatives.
I didn't bother to learn this when I was first taught and kept getting in a muddle between le and lo.
On your example you are lucky because you have been asked to use te and replace un regalo.
It is lo or la. As you can see masculine it is lo.
If you have got this far you will able to choose the correct answer. I cannot easily add the link to the articles as I am using a tablet but do search for them.
As I said earlier it is very important to learn this properly. Spanish sentences are often long so it is difficult to work everything out.
One of the ways I remember is by the use of gustar - if you say he likes chocolate or she likes chocolate you use (a Maria o a Juan le gusta chocolate) ie it is pleasing to him/her so I remember to him or to her = le
Good luck
Do you understand what's being asked of you? Change I gave you a gift to I gave it to you.
Which direct object pronoun should you substitute for un regalo?
This lesson (among many others) discusses the use of object pronouns in Spanish.
