Welcome to the forum.

Here are two threads outlining rules:

http://www.spanishdict.com/answers/280366/important-message-for-new-students-spanish-englishbefore-posting-read-this-please

http://www.spanishdict.com/answers/282623/rules-and-guidelines-for-spanishdict-update

Bottom line is that we are not a translation service, rather a teaching site, and so the expectation is that you make your best attempt and show what your thoughts are on the matter, and then we help correct any errors in your thinking.

It is very helpful to us to have your profile filled out, so we can make sure things like gender match you, and that we aim our answers to your reported level.

If you want to make a go at it for these two simple sentences, I am sure someone would be glad to help provide you with additional information and/or corrections as necessary.

Obviously it would have been simpler for me to simply give you the answer than write everything I just wrote, but that would not be of good service to your education.

Hola:

SpanishDict provides a "translator" on the home page for simple translations like this. We ask all newcomers (and even old-timers) to use it first. It is also necessary for you to fill out your profille with your levels of Spanish and English to help us in our answers to you. We handle beginners questions differently than the advanced students.
