Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! This is a game where you can all practice your Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time! Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos. . Please encourage everyone with a vote. . .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun

The cheetah: I'd recommend a shutter speed of 1/200th of a second, F-stop 7.1. Be ready to pan quickly from left to right. Take my word for it: she's very fast.

(Disclaimer: I am not a photographer. I probably have these values all wrong for shooting a running cheetah.)

yes, I think 1/2000 sec would be better! - jennysk, Mar 5, 2016
'para hacer una panorámica..'de izquierda a derecha' ;) - Pablo064, Mar 5, 2016
Gracias, Pablo. @jenny: A website I consulted recommended 1/160. That seemed incredibly slow even when panning, so I tweaked it in my sentence, but probably not enough. The guy had some amazing shots, but I think an amateur would need a much faster speed. - AnnRon, Mar 5, 2016
Amazing advice, I´m impressed by this leopard. - annierats, Mar 6, 2016

Cheetah: '' If it suits you I'll run and catch it so that you can take a close-up portrait , and afterwards we will both eat well? How about that? ''

(The leopard) I love it that you don't kill animals. You are very good to us. You only take pictures of us. Therefore I will not eat you.

Sometimes it is hard to see the wood for the trees .

Domesticated cheetah: ... and he is my uncle, and behind the tree is my sister. Let's go to the house already, I'm hungry, tired and hot.

Puedo verlo!"

The cheetah : "Hey, buddy, do not forget the rule of thirds! I can see it!"

If I knew what "the rule of thirds" is all about, I might understand this post. Please explain. That cat is smarter than I am. - Daniela2041, Mar 4, 2016
Hi Daniela, The rule of thirds is a guideline which divides your camera's screen into 9 equal squares to let you align your objects according to those lines. All mobile phones have that option as well. It is very useful while taking photos. :) - AndréYuhai, Mar 4, 2016
I am going to check that out. Thanks. - Daniela2041, Mar 4, 2016

Really dude? If you are going to hire some local muscle, perhaps a lion would be better. Yes, a cheetah is fast, but it doesn't have the strength to protect you from some of the animals that might attack you.

I am glad I brought this cheetah decoy with me.

If I collaborate with this hunter, I'm sure with his modern weapons we will bring down better booty than with my teeth and claws.

Very good sentence, but "abate" doesn't seem like the right word choice. - AnnRon, Mar 4, 2016
Abate is not the English equivalent of "abatir" - something like "bring down" or "take down" might be better. :) - bosquederoble, Mar 4, 2016

Cheetah! I am so glad this human only uses a camara to shoot with.
