What happened to the ice-boxes?
A day or so ago I answered a question about Ice-boxes. It was a very interesting concept and today I took the trouble to look up the history of refrigeration, in order to improve my answer. However when I tried to convey my improved answer , the question had mysteriously disappeared, as do so many, these days. Are only moderators allowed to ut up questions now? I 'm aware of the great work you moderators do to get rid of pestilential advertisers, but an innocent early fridge?
In case anybody is interested in the early history of refrigeration, here you are:

** I think too many questions are tossed out these days, the people who make the answers actually take some trouble, and we're not all troubled by lack of thanks. - annierats.
Dear Annie , it is a curious thing but a thread will not stay up on top of the page
or even on the same page , each successive thread pushes it further away.
If you are in need of an interesting topic to follow there are dozens of threads
that members have spent many hours of research and writing up,
they would be thrilled at your participation ,I would because many of the
threads that I research and spend hours on often just disappear without an
answer. I just have to swallow my pride and think of the greater good..
I just read your comment Aniie , about people who take the trouble to answer
well what about the members that do the above , and who unlike the person
that you took so much trouble over actually do say thank you , they are friendly
hard working , obliging and give you the respect that you deserve. Incidentally
I am not angry or even disappointed , but sad to see so much thoughtlessness from many students that think the world owes them a living and are not willing
to accept responsibility for their actions.

Thank you Annie for giving me the opportunity to raise my puny voice.
Any member can move a thread up to the top you just have to add a post
If you still think that we are too hard then read the rude comments made to
one of our hardest working members and an absolute gentleman "Jubilado".
