It stands for "you," making the whole word mean "to meet you." You probably ran into it in a sentence similar to "Encantado de conocerte," which means roughly "Pleased to meet you." If you wanted to say that you were pleased to meet HIM or HER, you would simply change "te" to "lo" or "la": conocerlo or conocerla.

I hope that you'll consider going back to your profile page and indicating your level of proficiency in English and Spanish. It is a big help to members who would like to give you an answer in the language and on a level that you will understand. It's actually a requirement. If you haven't read this thread for new members, please do.

Thank you! How would I change it to you plural (vosotros) or ustedes - ginaelrafie15, Feb 10, 2016
Encantado de conoterles (ustedes) or encantado de conoceros (vosotros) - Daniela2041, Feb 11, 2016
typo: First example: conoCerles (ustedes) :) - - FELIZ77, Feb 11, 2016
Whoops! Well you corrected it so I'll just let it stand instead of trying to fix it. - Daniela2041, Feb 11, 2016
