Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! enter image description here

This is a game where we can practice our Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time!

The rules are very simple and remain more or less exactly as RelaxingCup designed them and H C A student continued.

  • Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

  • Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos.

Please encourage everyone with a vote. smile

. .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

I'm late, I'm late for

A very important date.

No time to say hello, good-bye,

I'm late, I'm late, I'm late

I'm late and when I wave,

I lose the time I save.

My fuzzy ears and whiskers

Took me too mych time to shave.

I run and then I hop, hop, hop,

I wish that I could fly.

There's danger if I dare to

Stop and here's a reason why:

I'm over-due, I'm in a rabbit stew.

Can't even say good-bye,

hello, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late.

Voy tarde, voy tarde para

Una cita muy importante.

No hay tiempo para decir hola, adios,

Voy tarde, voy tarde, voy tarde

Corro y luego salto, salto, salto,

No puedo incluso decir adios,

Hola voy tarde, voy tarde, voy tarde.

Note: The English is not mine, but I am entirely responsible for the Spanish (I have not looked at any one else's translation although I am sure they must exist). Since I far exceeded the length limit, I will understand fully if it is not corrected. smile

a typo in 'mUch' :D..In Spanish you could say 'y aquí hay una razón del porqué'...I think it is more common 'llego tarde' but it is okay :D - Pablo064, Dec 18, 2015
I chose voy over llego because he is not there yet. I don't know if it works that way, but that is why I did it. :) - bosquederoble, Dec 18, 2015
Now we see the poetic side of our scientist... I like it. ;) - jrschenk, Dec 19, 2015
Keep in mind, as I noted, I did not write it, that is not where my skills are. ;) - bosquederoble, Dec 19, 2015
Oh, the errors in the English were not mine- I just cut and pasted it- that is why it is in a quote box. I always use a quote box if I did not write it. :) - bosquederoble, Dec 19, 2015
Yes Bosque you say 'llegar tarde' regardless of that - Pablo064, Dec 19, 2015
Thanks Pablo. :) - bosquederoble, Dec 20, 2015

This is completely natural. Everyone rushes to buy something, or goes somewhere to visit their relatives and friends

How can this be a Holiday Traffic Jam as there is not a green light in sight?

Sorry for my bad Spanish I used my study guide to help me but I know it is not 100% correct. :) - Nickelbackfan1, Dec 18, 2015
We all understand, amiga. ;) - jrschenk, Dec 18, 2015
Thanks amigo. :) - Nickelbackfan1, Dec 18, 2015
It's OK to leave names untranslated. In fact it's best. "cláusula" is not a good translation for the name Claus. In face Santa Claus is a corruption of the name Saint Nicholas. Say it fast a bunch of times and it will start to sound like "Santa Claus" - Daniela2041, Dec 18, 2015
In Latin-American countries such as Mexico, where the "Santa Claus" tradition is observed, they leave the name just as it is. OK? - Daniela2041, Dec 18, 2015
Sometimes it is difficult trying to translate 'get' so think of other verb that you could use instead like 'to achieve' then do the literal translation so you can say 'cómo voy a lograr entregar todos estos juguetes a tiempo'..correos está a 10 millas.. - Pablo064, Dec 18, 2015
Okay I will make a note of that thanks guys :) - Nickelbackfan1, Dec 18, 2015

Life in a small town is much better. If you enjoy traffic jams, you are at the right place.

Let's see ... number of cars in my field of vision divided by two equals the number of people who are texting while driving (I'll stay home for Christmas, you can count on that).

(The) Husband: "I hate to tell you, darling, but I think we're going in the wrong direction!" wink

(The) Wife: "No, we're not love, (it's not true) I programmed the Sat Nav to direct us to my mother's house for Christmas!" wink

?wink

hacia la dirección equivocada/errónea.. smile - Pablo064 8 hrs ago
