Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day!

This is a game where we can practice our Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time!

The rules are very simple and remain more or less exactly as RelaxingCup designed them and H C A student continued.

  • Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy.

  • Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos.

Please encourage everyone with a vote. smile

. .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun!

Here is the previous Picture of the Day:

En Australia, el Día de la Nariz Roja es para recaudar dinero contra el síndrome de la muerta súbita infantil . Hasta los coches pueden llevar una nariz roja.

In Australia, Red Nose Day is to raise money against Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Even cars can wear a Red Nose.

"síndrome de la muerte súbita infantil" "nariz roja" not capitalized in Spanish if no used as a complete denomination (Día de la Nariz Roja, ok, but "nariz roja" in the second occurrence) :)) - Waidh, Nov 5, 2015

After Rudolph's miraculous success in saving Christmas, he became a celebrity. Now you too can relive that night with his newest line of fashion accessories!

I was reaching a bit with this sentence (I don't know how to say "line of fashion accessories", and "became a celebrity".

One comment. relive = revivir or rememorar or even conmemorar. I don't think exmerimentar works here. - gringojrf, Nov 4, 2015
experimentar not exmerimentar. Typo. - gringojrf, Nov 4, 2015
Updated. Thanks for the correction! - HackerKing, Nov 5, 2015
Just updated that too. Thanks! - HackerKing, Nov 5, 2015

Tristemente soy, pero gracias. :>) - AnnRon, Nov 4, 2015
Acerca de su edad? Considere la alternativa. :D - jrschenk, Nov 4, 2015
Ann, this is not the "will" of future. This is the will of "volition" "Quiere/quisiera dar un paso adelante....................." - Daniela2041, Nov 5, 2015

Thanks, Daniela. I knew there was something not quite right about that--was feeling the difference, but didn't know how to fix it. - AnnRon, Nov 5, 2015

I hope these people wear this nose to alleviate the suffering of sick children.

Can you guess who is happy and who is not?

Wouldn't it be "está" for "feliz" (unless you're implying that they're all generally happy people?) - HackerKing, Nov 5, 2015
I meant "está" for "es" - HackerKing, Nov 5, 2015

No dan confianza.

If I was religiously inclined I would never be able to confess to a priest with such a read nose. They are not trustworthy.

It is better to have a red nose for our cause than a brown nose from pursuing your own interests.

I translated the idiom literally in Spanish this time, even though I don't think it works. For any Spanish speakers who don't know the English idiom brown-noser= chupamedias. :) - bosquederoble, Nov 4, 2015
I am a Swedish speaker and I have no idea what brown nose means, I've never heard this expression, ever. - annierats, Nov 4, 2015
I have :) - ian-hill, Nov 4, 2015
Brown is the color you nose ends up when you kiss your bosses {censored}.........:D - bosquederoble, Nov 4, 2015
Actually I should have written boss's, not bosses. :( - bosquederoble, Nov 4, 2015
I use the term 'chupamedias-chupacu...' :D almost every day and I just realized that I didn't know how to say such a useful term in English - Pablo064, Nov 5, 2015

There are four people who are having fun with the funny red noses. What could have happened to the other four? They're partypoopers, huh?
