Here in Baja when you want someone to do as they are told we say: Haz caso .....

what does Yo quiero que tú te mejores pronto. Escucha a los médicos. mean?

It means: I want you to get better soon. Listen to the doctors(!)

(ie; pay attention to what they say and act on it!)

You could also say: ¡Espero que te mejores pronto.....escucha a los médicos!

or ¡Espero que te mejores pronto.....presta atención a lo que dicen los médicos!
