Hello everyone,

The Picture of the Day. Game for practicing and having fun.

- Guidelines -

Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes as well as the language accuracy. ;^)

Remember to correct your posts as suggested. Posts that are not corrected cannot be "accepted".

Please give everyone a chance and only post one caption and no photos.

I will advise on the Spanish part, and I'm still looking for volunteers on the English part.

This is the previous: Picture of the day: Awkward elevator silence.
(Please correct my English)

Be careful what you wish for, I am full of gas.

Plus: See that 'gas' in American English is gasolina in Spanish. :) - RelaxingCup, Nov 7, 2013

The flame on this matchstick resembles my hairstyle, don't you think?

Baby, you and I are like gasoline and matches. Together, we can set the world on fire!

I always use one of these after I eat too many beans.

Note: I tried this one on my own and then went back to use the translator for help....mine was close to what the translator spit out, but I didn't use "que." I really struggle with que when it doesn't translate to what....seems like it has so many uses. Assuming that it belongs in the sentence above, can someone help me with the significance?

Sometimes you have to look at things as a group or phrase, not individual elements. Después de que is like after or after which or afterwards. Después de can also be followed by an infinitive. So one can say después de comer... - rogspax, Nov 6, 2013
Thanks Rogspax. This is actually the second time you've helped me today because I saw a meme you created over on Memrize. :) - vevans, Nov 6, 2013
I would take Rogspax excellent advice. I think the best way to say it is: "Siempre uso uno de estos después de comer demasiados frijoles". - RelaxingCup, Nov 7, 2013

Come closer, my little butterfly. The flame is enchanting, isn't it?

Here "madera" is singular because is uncountable - "piezas" is plural. Hola Ray! - RelaxingCup, Nov 7, 2013

Don't worry! I'm just searching for the fuse box in the dark, I have no intention to set anybody's hair on fire.

At your age I had to light mathes. Kids these days are so lucky
