Find a word related to the word P R O U D

The idea is to find an English word (synonym –- antonym -- phrase, idiom, phrasal verb ) related to the word – P R O U D ( adjetivo, adverbio ) and then write a simple sentence in English and Spanish for that word.

Examples:

He was the proud owner of a new car.

(Él) era el propietario orgulloso de un coche nuevo.

cars photo: I like cars!!!! 001.jpg

Pictures would be nice, (pretty ones or animals get lots of votes) ha ha

[This link might help you find some ideas.]

Mariana has kindly agreed to be the “official” corrector of the Spanish.

I think I can manage being the “unofficial” corrector for the English, je je

This was the previous challenge

Hi mate - I was looking for that use of "proud" in Spanish - I am not sure that it is "orgulloso" - ian-hill, Apr 18, 2013
But good try :) - ian-hill, Apr 18, 2013
Maybe someone in the medical field will help to find the right word for us. We use "proud" a lot to mean something being too thick , or long in woodworking or metalwork. - ray76, Apr 18, 2013
Yep - anything that stands out from the norm. - ian-hill, Apr 18, 2013
Ray, I was going to use ' proud flesh', I was proud of the thought, but too late. - annierats, Apr 18, 2013
