¡Qué Padre!

Means "That's great!" or "How awesome!" or something to that effect. "Padre" not only means "father" in Spanish, but also, in Mexico, as this expression demonstrates, it has a second meaning of "cool", "great", "wonderful", etc.

This is the link to the SpanishDict dictionary entry for "padre".

SpanishDict: Padre

Look under the first entry (from the Chambers Harrap Dictionary) for the Mexican meaning.

its a way of expressing your astonishment, shock etc. It depends on how you use it though. The meaning has two sides to it, more like 'cool' and 'wonderful', yet 'shocking' or 'astonishing'.!

Is a Mexican moddism, and as PumpkinCalabaza said, could be interpreted as "cool", "wonderful", for example here in Peru we use bacan, chevere as equivalent expressions
