when you want something but you wish for it,don't you have to use something else,like the subjunctive tense?

Also...

Ojalá + imperfect subjunctive = I wish ...!

eg.

Ojalá tuviera tu fuerza de voluntad - I wish I had your willpower!

There are several verbs that express wants and wishes, depending on the context and want you want to say. I listed a few here and linked each to the dictionary for you. smile

Desear = "To wish"

Querer = "To want"

Anhelar = "To long for"

I believe that the verb most widely used for 'To Wish' is: DESEAR .

Por ejemplo: A veces, deseo que vivía (conditional) en una clima más caliente. Sometimes, I wish that I was living in a warmer climate.
