Lesson 1.13

In lesson 1.13 there is the phrase ......

" fregar el suelo " which SpanishDict translates to "mopping the floor".

However ....... " suelo " means "ground or soil ".

In Lesson 1.8 I was told that " piso " was " floor ".

Should the phrase be " fregar el piso " instead ?

¡Hola!, davidgbrown

Have a look here ----> Suelo at our dictionary definition where you will find the word has different meanings as between indoors and out of doors.

Actually I figured it out where "suelo" is the floor of a room, while "piso" is the floor of a building ie kitchen floor vs main floor - davidgbrown, Nov 20, 2011

I answered my own question.

I determined that "suelo" was the floor of a room and "piso" is the floor of a building. For example the kitchen floor vs the main floor.
