Tools on SpanishDict?

Hi Guys,

I made my SpanishDict account a while back but I only logged onto it now. I'm a high school student enrolled in AP Spanish IV this year and I mainly wanted to use this site to be more fluent in speaking/hearing spanish. I'm not too interested in grammer lessons but I just wanted to figure what resources on SpanishDict could help me increase my vocabulary and understand fluent Spanish, especially from a native speaker.

¡Gracias por sus ayuda!

Corvenzo, Welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of people here use the chatroom and Skype for talking with eachother as well as just participating on the forum.

I've only checked out small portions of the lessons but my distinct impression was that they are not really about grammar per se. Mostly, they organized with an eye to areas that give trouble to English speakers (the early lessons are, of course, geared to very general, useful (in every-day language) expressions

If by "understand fluent Spanish" you mean spoken Spanish, your only recourse on this site is to look for (Skype) chat sessions. Unfortunately, these are less frequent than they once were. A recent post by someone who is a madrileño (which should satisfy your qualification for a "native speaker") requested responses from anyone interested in exchanging English/Spanish practice sessions.

Just to poor salt on the wound:

¡Gracias por sus ayuda!

su ayuda (the possessive adjective matches the number of the noun that it modifies; not the number/gender of the possessor) [su whether it is your or you all's]

su libro (your or you all's)

sus libros (your or you all's)

Oh, sorry, that was my bad. I added an extra s at the end of "su". - corvenzo, Nov 20, 2011
