Hey burgler - you see that yellow tab above 'translate'? If you type mi into the box and hit enter you will get this answer - then if you do the same with compañero you will have the whole thing. Not too hard but these kind of skills will really help you do your homework yourself and learn more than if we were just to give you all the answers smile

Whenever asking for a definition of a word it is always advisable to provide context or to use it in a sentence.

compañero is used with several phrases to make qualifications.

compañeros de clase=classmates

compañeros de viaje=travel companions

compañero de piso/cuarto=roommate

companero de trabajo= work associate or colleague

compañero de jugar=playmate

Shoot! I just saw that these are all in the dictionary.

What does mi companero (with a tildo on the n) mean?

What does "warrior" mean (with two "v" overlapping before the "a")?

Our dictionary uses "pareja" for compañera. Would that be a couple living together, but not married. (or homosexual couple if gay marriages are not recognized)? - 0074b507, Sep 1, 2011

Hey ontima - welcome to the forum, it's nice to see another helpful person here - just a little suggestion, and you can probably confirm this with your own learning, if we teach others how to help themselves or at least try then they are more likely - Kiwi-Girl, Sep 1, 2011
to retain the vocab etc - that's why we usually suggest that the person asking have a go first and then we are happy to correct if needed :) - Kiwi-Girl, Sep 1, 2011
