Interactive Audio Thread No 2 - Hilo de Audio Interactivo Numero 2 Sin Trabajo / Unemployed
For those of you who enjoyed our first ever interactive audio thread here is another short reading exercise.
The text is paraphrased from the Awake magazine and is given in Spanish and English, you may record both or just the language which you are learning.
If you haven't done this before you may find this article helpful How to record and upload an audio file to SD
Simply read the text while recording the audio and upload it here for suggestions and corrections, once again many thanks to Julián who will be critiquing the Spanish recordings and Cogu who may well pop in from time to time. I will be happy to check the English versions and as Sally was very helpful on the previous thread so we invite her to carry on here too, je je ![]()
Please don't be shy, you can't really say that you've learnt a language unless you can speak it. You can see from the other thread that we're all at different levels but everyone's recording was much appreciated and wasn't it great to get to hear each other's voices? We hope this exercise will help give you confidence towards become a Spanish or an English 'speaker' and before long you will sound just like a native!
English Text
Unemployed - How you can live on less.
Living on less requires careful planning. Calculate the expense of living within your means by creating a budget. Our viewpoint can affect our emotions. Thus the Bible urges this mental attitude: 'Having sustenance and covering, we shall be content with these things". Remember too that a person's moral integrity and worth are not diminished by a loss of income.
Along with the link to your recording it might be nice to put your name, native language and Spanish or English level:

I was actually VERY nervous to get up and do this as I've NEVER heard myself speak in Spanish. I never knew what I sounded like until this! Please, whatever native spanish speaker sees this, tear me apart and criticize the be-jeesus out of me! Give it to me, I can take it. Only way to improve after all.
