1.¿Has visto
The original sentence was perfect.
My own answer is (empezaba).
Either empiezan, empezaban or empezarán are all correct answers, depending on what you intent to say.
My own answer is (tienen).
Depending on what you want to say, you can answer "tienen", "tendrán", "tendrían", "tenemos", "tendremos", "tendríamos", and many more.
My own answer is (fuera).
It should be "sea".
4.No hacía falta que (molestarse) .Le agradezco que haya venido. My own answer is (se molestaba).
It should be "se molestara".
My own answer is (pago)
Wrong answer. Possible answers: "pagó", "ha pagado", "paga" or "pague", or if you are talking about several people, "pagan", "han pagado"...
Don't the instructions seem odd to you when there are so many choices??
A lot of language teachers like to design an exercise with only one possible answer, so they can write THE answer on the back of the book. However, quite often they have a sentence in mind, they remove one word that was perfect in that sentence, they write it on the answers section, but they forget to check whether there are other alternative solutions. This is a very common flaw in the design of the questions.
You didn't answer the one that interested me. What is no. 7, the one with the dot? - qfreed 43 mins ago
Her answer is correct. "No creer" can perfectly be followed by indicative... except in present and future statements in the 1st person, because you can't declare something you believe, after having said that you don't believe what you are about to declare. It makes no sense. But:
No creía que se iba a derrumbar. [but now I can declare that it did collapse after all]
[but I am sure of it, so I declare it]
¿No crees que es bonito? [I am seeking for confirmation of my own declaration]
Why you use "se molestara"?
Because you are not declaring that he took the trouble to inform him, but simply mentioning the fact for the purpose of making a comment about it.
Another possibility that I didn't mention earlier is when you declare someone else's statement as a quote. In these cases, indicative is also used despite the criticisms from many grammars:
A: Le economía es un desastre.
B: Yo no creo que la economía es un desastre. [I do not believe the statement "The economy..."]
I would advice against using infinitive in these cases unless you are already an advanced student and already have a natural feeling for what is right and wrong in Spanish.
1.¿Has visto
lotan/qué limpia que es esta calle?
lo limpia=noun=(lo + adjetivo)
Another possibility depending on meaning is whether it should be está rather than es.
Not a native. Strongly suggest waiting for confirmation.
My own answer is (emp
iezaban).
Acutally he/she could have told you that «on Tuesdays the classes will, would, do, did, etc. begin at 4.» However, the verb must be plural to match las classes. Also there is no stem change in the imperfect tense...empezaban.
My own answer is (tienen).
My own answer is (tienen).
Lat week they told me that they will have them this week.
My own answer is (fuera).
I would go with es or sea depending on whether you mean it is very strong or that it might be/can be very strong (if cheese from that region is known for sometimes being very strong)
4.No hacía falta que (molestarse) .Le agradezco que haya venido. My own answer is (se molestaba).
It wasn't necessary that they bothered (were bothering) you. Or it wasn't necessary that they bother you. I can see arguments for either tense, but, in any event, I see nothing wrong with your answer.
My own answer is (tiendes).
While I am going shopping at the market, you....command
You need to use the informal command here: tiende
or
While I am going shopping you will 'tend to/hang up" (tenderás) the clothes. [vas a tender]
My own answer is (quedaría)
After no creer the subjunctive is normally used, but if you just look at the subordinate clause by itself: «si la acortara un poco, quedaría más moderna» looks correct I'm going to leave this one for someone else to comment upon..
