Thank you Heidi for posting this! Currently, we only have 3 lessons up for viewing, but we should have more soon. We are still playing with the format and trying to put the lessons officially in the forum instead of off site. But, as many of you know, we don't fully support html in the forum, and we wanted the videos and the assessment to be embedded into the lesson.

Also, we are going to figure out a way so that you don't have to take all the assessment questions. If you get 10 right in a row, then you will have mastered it and can just move on without having to take the rest of the questions.

We would love your feedback! Things to think about are:

  • pace of the lesson
  • number of examples
  • do you want more opportunities to participate/interact? (make sure you watch all 3 before you answer this as the por vs para lesson has no interaction, but the past participle one has quite a bit)
  • anything else that strikes you, we'd love to hear!

I will watch all three and report back! Thanks again! - Tosh, May 24, 2011
Thanks, Paralee. :-) - danrivera, May 24, 2011
I'm so glad they will be in the forum and not offsite anymore! That other site was not very user friendly! Gracias! - Gillygaloo, Jun 2, 2011
I found 'por & para' by using the link. How do I view the other new videos? - katydew, Oct 15, 2011

Acabo de mirar el video " Relative pronouns que and quien ". I like the format very much, but I think there are some typographical errors. For example:

El hombre que ves es muy guano.

And

El libro que prostate es mío.

Am I wrong?

Please let me add, I like the format, the pace and the chance to interact. Very well done! - MLucie, May 24, 2011
You are not wrong. I was going to mention them when I read your reply. - 0074b507, May 24, 2011
also...¿Alguien ha vista a María, de quien está "enamored" Samuel? - 0074b507, May 24, 2011
Sorry for the typos! I wrote a lot of the text in a program that tries to automatically correct my Spanish to English words. - Paralee, May 27, 2011

Wow!..... These are brilliant - I really like the para/por wheel idea it made it easier to visualise the whole topic.

Great going, Paralee!

I can't type as well as some, so I don't get as many pts in the parts where I must identfiy words or phrases, so I can never get 100%. I find your lessons delightful y superfacil. aunque que humorosas.

My understanding of Por / para was pretty good these days, but watching this first video lesson was still awesome. The 'wheel' illustration diagram was simply the best summary description I've ever seen on this subject.

Kudos to Paralee and the team!!!

I think there must be too many people looking at it, I can't get it to play. I will have to look tomorrow.

It plays OK on Youtube, very good clear explanation, and I needed it. Thanks.

Has anyone else noticed Paralees accent in English has changed?

I have only just noticed the new format lessons in the reference section. I love the format!!!! Ive just completed the por\para quiz. Awesome! That sort of format really suits my learning style.

I always get confused with prepositions and if you could do something similar with 'de, a, en' that would be fantastic grin

¡Vaya! Way to go Paralee and your team. It is truly worth watching over and over. I am a little frightened to take the quiz but after a few more times watching, I will give it a go. A few comments: 1. The yellow marker is hard to see maybe a darker color would be better? 2. The writing with the markers is large and easy to see but the typed sentence is a small font and much harder on these cloudy eyes of mine so maybe a little larger? I can hold the control key and hit the plus sign to enlarge the rest of the page but not the video.

I am so looking forward to more lessons and yes the video presentation is well worth it just to listen to your lovely spanish.

How do access them? I went to reference and could not locate them. I clicked on "po and para" and only got the text version. Thanks for any help, I look forward to viewing all three new ones.
