If you wanted to tell your brother to rest/relax/take a break, would you say 'descansar, mi hermano'?

If you want him to take a break from bothering you or from just acting hyper, you could say "Relájate" or "Cálmate."

If you want him to actually rest, then you can say "Descánsate."
