Neuter article "lo"

Can someone help me on these questions? I really don't understand when to use the article lo and why is lo used in these sentences instead of el or la. Does these sentences mean..... 1. What is the romantic(thing) for you 2. Do you prefer the funny or the dramatic(things) in the movies? 3. What is good(the good thing) of your life? 4.In what you you work, do you work the best(part)?
- ¿Qué es lo romántico para ti?
- ¿Prefieres lo cómico o lo dramático en las películas?
- ¿Qué es lo bueno de tu vida?
- ¿En qué trabajo, trabajas lo mejor?

You use "lo" in cases like this because you are referring to a concept or idea.
Por ejemplo: "Lo bueno y lo malo" - "The good and the bad."
