I have used viaje de estudio but some kids (native speakers) thought it sounded odd? It was something we found in a dictionary. However they did not know of anything else to use. - bjlehman, Apr 6, 2011
A field trip in Spanish is nothing else than an Excursión didáctica. Look no further. - Masterdan, Apr 21, 2016

And, on the other hand, our dictionary offers these suggestions:

? field trip (escuela & universidad) ---> viaje (m) or salida (f) para (realizar) trabajo de campo

  • I'm uncertain but I think this is suggesting the use of either 'realizar' or use 'trabajo'.

See the list @ ----> field

La clase ira a una excursion a la granja. OR "la clase ira a un viaje corto al rancho."
