Hi everyone!

Since I have seen some messages concerned with celebration, and we haven't reviewed this matter in a good while, let me remind veteran users, and inform newer users, that after much discussion, an "Official Policy" was reached a while ago regarding Milestone Achievement Celebrations.

Here it is. So newer users, please keep up the good work, and hang in there until you reach at least your first 10K!

Great reminder Gekko! I haven't been on as much this week and I'm not sure what prompted your thread, but I'm guessing some of the newbies (with good intentions) are starting threads for certain milestones or are wondering why they aren't being congratulated yet. If I am wrong, please correct me. smile

Either way, the fact that members are recognized for achievements and milestones on this site is one of the things that creates a sense of family and bonding. There are now quite a few people who keep an eye out for those achievements, which is a great thing.

Since we are discussing this topic, I just wanted to point out that if for some reason, you have been overlooked or forgotten for reaching one of the "K" milestones, for your birthday or for some other reason, it is not because you are unimportant or not a beloved member of this site. Everyone's contributions are what make this site the special place that it is. However, unfortunately, once in awhile, in the business of life, someone may be overlooked. If this has happened to you, I offer my sincere apologies, and I'm sure I am speaking on behalf of nearly everyone else here. The last thing we want anyone to think is that there are cliques or "special, chosen ones" who are worthy of being congratulated and that you have not made the list. That would never, ever happen here!!!!

I am mentioning this because every so often, we will notice someone who, for whatever reason, was forgotten until quite a bit of time went by. I remember that even happening to one of our esteemed administrators (I believe when they reached 50K a long time ago red face :gulpsmile. Now if it can happen to that person, it can happen to anyone. So if you get a chance, peruse the "users" section every so often and check to see if anyone has reached one of the milestones mentioned in the thread Gekko has provided a link for. Feel free to start the celebration yourself. That goes for birthdays as well. It doesn't happen very often thanks to the vigilant members in this forum, but I would hate to see anyone discouraged because they are accidentally overlooked.

To all those who regularly start the parties here....keep up the good work. Also, as Gekko said, for the newer members, you too are doing a great job and all of your contributions matter. This is a big and loving family, with plenty of room still left at the table for more!! wink smile
