Si ustedes quieren unir, simplemente nos digan sus metas inmediatas, y nos informen cuando sean terminadas. Usen qualquier idioma. Trateré hablar en inglés y español para practicar el español.
I am addicted to the forum. For this reason I'm forming this group to support those (including myself) who need accountability. Me pone contenta.
He terminado spanishdict.com lecciones 3.7 y 3.8.
I have finished spanishdict.com lessons 3.7 and 3.8. I earned the Star Student badge for receiving 100% on lesson 3.7. It's a good lesson for earning this badge because the flashcards are about the colors, which are easy. The answers are short and there aren't many accents.
Hey I finally earned the star after 37 lessons, lol!
I'm process oriented rather than goal oriented ![]()
That said, my long term goal is to become fluent in Spanish since I live in a Spanish speaking country. I don't have any intermediate goals.
I took a two month break from studying Spanish, but now I am back! I did not mean to break that long. However, during that time I did continue to improve due to my volunteer work with a Latina support group.
My goal is to spend some time studying Spanish every day. I have kept it up for over a month, and I am making good progress.
Every day I want to study one chapter of my book Living Language - Ultimate Spanish Beginners - Intermediate And two pages of my book "Aprende 2" A2
This week I'm studing things like "jugaba" and "tenía" and how to use them.
I hope I can finish them both in 2 or 3 months.
This week is semester break so I have more time to learn the preterit, large numbers, indirect objects, clothing and shopping and comparisons. Next is the imperfect -- I'll keep you posted. Oh, yes, the test was OK..I got a 96. Thank you everyone for your support.
In the past few days I was doing a quick reversion on the preterit and Imperfect tenses as well as the last 3 lessons in learn Spanish 2, still a little bit confused about some irregular verbs thought, I just need some practice ![]()
For the next few days I'll be only practicing and I won't start anything new because I need to practice some French as well
.

Have a nice day ![]()

Hi Happyquilter,
I love making goals, but I love reaching them even more. Thanks for giving us a place to encourage each other.
For me, in addition to everything I learn in this site
, I love doing the videos on a site called Lacasarojas. I have mentioned this site in a few threads because I love it so much. All of last year, the videos were free, which was great. Now there is a monthly charge. I have paid for this month at least. I have already watched 167 of the videos and they have now added a few more.
My goal is to watch each of the videos again and to catch up with the ones I have not yet seen. So far I am back up to #110. More importantly, I want to understand each video completely. Since there are a few which I am still a bit confused on, I will need to go back and repeat those once I have caught up. I would like to achieve this before leaving for the Dominican Republic in June.
I would also like to commit to reading several articles of a Dominican newspaper online every day to practice my reading and also to be more in tune with what is going on in the country in preparation for my trip. I have found some great newspapers in the reference section on this site. Click here if anyone else didn't realize this resource was available here.
I know this is a lot, but I am setting aside several hours each day and hopefully I will reach these goals. ![]()
I completed the entire "Practice makes Perfect -- Basic Spanish" workbook by Dorothy Richmond. I had started it in the fall, but at the end of December I started over and went through every exercise again. I just finished the translation exercises at the end. Now, I think it's time to start up on the video lessons again. I need some review on preterit and imperfect. I will let you know when I get that done. Thanks again for having this group.
I became additicted to this Forum too...
Iam learning Spanish from this website, my intermetidate goal is to be fluent in speaking and writing this language. I am still completing lesson 1.
And maybe, who knows, one day I will visit this wonderfull country.
I want to learn how to speak Spanish. I have completed up through Spanish 2 on this site. I took Spanish one in community college last semester and now I am taking Spanish two. I love this site and I admit to my addiction. Now, I have to get back to the books. Thank you for this post.
