Asking for and giving directions--Practice your sentences

Here is where you can practice asking and giving directions. If you have sentences from last Saturday's chat you may put them here. This is open to anyone in the forum who wants to practice giving or asking for directions.

Can you help me?

Dakie and Vicente will be correcting the Spanish.

¿Dónde está la estación del tren? - Dakie, Feb 16, 2011
hola Ray. You need an accent on the a in esta. Without the á the word means 'this'. Also estacion de tren is feminine, therefore the article is la. Hope this helps. - ak79, Feb 16, 2011

hola Ray. I believe that when you use the word publicos, it is a plural word, therefore the rest of the sentence needs to be plural. Therefore the sentence may look like: ¿Dónde estan los baños publicos? - ak79, Feb 16, 2011
¿Dónde están los baños públicos? - Dakie, Feb 16, 2011
doh!! forgot the tilde above the 'a' in estan. Good spot Dakie. - ak79, Feb 16, 2011
And in the "u" ;) - Dakie, Feb 16, 2011
Although I meant to ask " Where is the public bathroom"? not where are "they" I should not have put the s on público. - ray76, Feb 16, 2011
Completely right, neither in the other letter, the thing here is that we don't ask for public bathrooms in singular, so the corrections stays immovable jajaja :) - Dakie, Feb 16, 2011

Haha, I need practice with the subjunctive. Let's see if I can work that into this exercise. grin

Espero que puedamos encontrar el vendador de hielo. Estoy frustrada de que ha movado otra vez. ¿Sabes dónde está su carreta ahora?

I hope we can find the ice cream vendor. I'm frustrated that he has moved again. Do you know where his cart is now?

Espero que podamos encontrar a el vendedor de hielo. Estoy frustrada de que se ha movido otra vez. ¿Sabes en dónde está su carrito ahora?

Nice work¡¡ (All help appreciated, thanks!)
