Seguimos en contacto

Seguimos en contacto

I've just received an email from a Spanish colleague, who has written "Seguimos en contacto". I have used the translator, but it's not really helping me understand the context of the sentence. Seguimos is the nosotros preterite of Seguir which is To Follow.

So can anyone help me understand the meaning - currently I am thinking " We followed in contact" but that's not making sense.

Gracias

Alex

seguir

  1. to continue, to resume (reanudar)

Why not sigamos en contacto? (Let's keep in contact) see discussion below.

Thanks for sharing the discussion. I like what they had to say there re: seguimos vs.sigamos en contacto. A different meaning (not abysmal, but different) - gone, Mar 5, 2011
