Why is spanish the best language to learn?
Why is it? Why not french?

Depende de donde tú estés y/o a qué te dediques. Si es por número de hispanoparlantes la cifra es muy superior a la de francoparlantes. Yo hablo ambos idiomas y aunque aprendí el francés de adulto es una lengua que me encanta. Pero el español creo que es más fácil de aprender y hasta más útil.
Everyone has their own personal reasons to learn Spanish, and dedicate much time and effort to this goal.
If you search the Answers forum as suggested in the forum rules and guidelines, search for "why learn spanish" you will find several good threads with a range of answers by our members.
Whether it is the best or not depends on many factors. I chose Spanish because I felt the likelihood of actually getting to use it was greater than with other languages, but I live in northwest Florida.
Also, the economic situation in the USA could reach the point where we Americans start needing to migrate illegally into Mexico or South America, and I wanna be prepared. I could see Chinese becoming a necessity in the future, too, since China is strongly vested in our economy.
If you live on the Congo River, though, learning Spanish may not be one of the better options for you.
