"Mar adentro'

Hello, A friend of mine from Mexico told me that the title of the movie "Mar adentro" was mistranslated into English as "The Sea Inside." Do you agree? "Mar adentro," I believe, is more similar in meaning to "out to sea" or "out at sea" or "out in the sea," correct?

This has come up before. If you search the forum you'll find several answers. Here is one of the threads. Mar adentro = out to sea or at sea.

Adentro means inside, not outside. Look

but # Mar adentro -> out to sea

The translation of a name of a film greatly depends on the plot, though.

and sometimes on other films - if a similar name has been used they use a different name - margaretbl, Jan 16, 2011
