Take time to read through the dictionary definition of 'acabar' found here ----> acabar.

As you read through the list of entries you will see some examples of 'acabar de' included on the listing and will get a fuller, better idea what 'acaber de' means and how it is used.

Muchos saludos/Best regards.

I think that you had better spell it out as some of these answers are misleading. Acabar de=to have just - 0074b507, Dec 22, 2010
'To have just' is included in the dictionary listing of uses. - Moe, Dec 22, 2010

they go together. acabar is i just, so the way you would use it is acabo de (i just)....

The spanish word "de" is used as the english "of" sometimes, acabar means to finish but I need context to tell you exactly, for now I concur that I just is the best explanation.
