Do you want a written explanation or do you want to hear the difference? You can enter the two words into the translator here and then click on the speaker icon next to the words to hear them pronounced.

To Lazarus:

Errrr....yes sorry!!!! I guess I didn't really think there would be a massive difference in pronounciation because when I said it, 'veamos' sounded slightly like the imperfect, 'veíamos'. Anyway, I've heard it's real pronounciation....so now I know.

No need to be sorry. Surely you have a good reason to ask. I just don't quite get it. - lazarus1907, Dec 5, 2010
I guess it's because it is difficult for an English speaker to know how distinct Spanish vowels are compared to the English ones. - lazarus1907, Dec 5, 2010

What is the difference in pronounciation between vemos and veamos?

The difference???? "Veamos" has an extra vowel, and therefore, an extra sound (wich "steals" the stress from the "a"). It is like asking what is the difference between 15 and 135. I don't understand the question. Can anyone explain it to me? (I appear to be the only one surprised by the question)

The difference is the placement of the stress when speaking the word:

(b)vE-mos

(b)ve-A-mos
