transitivo vs intransitivo

Estudio "la valencia" se dice que el número de participantes en una oración corresponde con los términos intransitivo (1 participante), transitivo(2 participantes), y bistransitivo(3 participantes). Mi pregunta es si no hay participante como en las oraciones: "está nevando", "hace calor" ¿son intransitivos también? Gracias

I can't follow the argument about the number of participants in the sentence, but to simplify it, a transitive sentence must have a direct object in the sentence. An intransitive sentence will not have a direct object in the sentence.

It is snowing or It is hot are intransitive sentences as there is no direct object in either sentence.

Is (to be) in a linking verb, not a transitive verb. for example. Estar show no transitive uses in its definitions. Neither does Ser

Hacer can be transitive or intransitive.
