How to say "check email"?

Hi,
I'm wondering how to say "Check my email" as in "I need to check my email"? The dictionary gives a number of possible verbs: comprobar, chequear, checar...but "check email" is a colloquial usage in the us, so I'm not sure if any of these is appropriate either.
