How do you say "I've missed you"
and how do you say I'm going to miss you when you are saying goodbye to a friend?

Good observation. Usually "falta" is for when some thing is missing or needed, as in "Me falta un lápiz," but also when students are missing from class ("Héctor faltó al tercer período hoy.")
When we miss people, it's usually "extrañar" or "echar de menos" as Feliz77 said. So,
I've missed you = Te he echado de menos / Te he extrañado.
I'll miss you = Te echaré de menos. / Te extrañaré.
Hope that helps!
te echare de menos - I will miss you te he echado de menos -I've missed you
Hello, Bertnliz.. Welcome to the SpanishDict forum ![]()
As you may know we encourage you to make an initial attempt at your own translations and then present them here for corrections. People will the be pleased to offer corrections, guidance and advice.
However, I will give you a clue:
One of the two verbs you could use is 'extrañar'
The other verb cosntruction would be echar de menos (alguién)**
= to miss (someone)
I'm Sorry, I had read your question incorrectly as future tense: I am going to miss you I think there was another thread connected with that question
For your sentence You would use the present tense of the verb haber + the past participle of the verb extrañar so you would take off the ar ending of this verb and add ado
You would do the same with the verb 'echar' and then remove the ar and add the same ending as you did with with 'extrañar'
I hope that helps I am sure You can take it from there ![]()

I'll give you a different way to say "te extrañaré" or "te voy a echar de menos." It is "me vas a hacer falta."
It's funny because I'm asking this because I while back I heard someone use the word falta to mean miss? I didn't understand why, I will try my best :/
