The dictionary gives a pretty good answer here, under definition 2. If you put the word in the dictionary box directly be sure to click on the "Spanish to English" tab when the definition comes up, or you'll get the definition of the English word "red."

"Red" means "net". It can also mean "network" in the context of the sentence.
