qué hay en tu dormitorio

Question

I have a third form spanish speaking test. Looking for other examples of how to answer this question. what i have got so far-

En mi dormitorio hay dos unas camas y un guardarropa. Entre las camas hay una mesilla de noche con un lámpara encima.

any better answers to the above quistion than what i have will be great. You get good marks for the flow of things (not just listing the items e.g hay una cama y un pupitre y una butaca.)

dos unas appears to be wrong.

As I mentioned in your other thread, include your English intent so we can either agree that it is correct or explain why it is not.

I had those two words backwards. Probably because of definitions like this one that says closet=armario. I tried looking up the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe because I knew what a wardrobe was in that context, but wouldn't you know they use ropero for wardrobe in the title. Shoot, now a see a definition in our dictionary that says that guardarropa and amario are synonyms. Sigh.

I disagree with this Q. Armario is closet, I have heard it this way hundreds of times. The above picture is of an armoire which is surely the "cognate"ish form of armario, but I have maybe heard guardarropa a handful of times, and unless I am dead wrong.. - jeezzle, Sep 12, 2010

I believe that they are just synonyms without any clear or exact difference as you are implying in the above pictures. I may be wrong, but I believe both of the above could be called armario... ;) - jeezzle, Sep 12, 2010

jeezle-that was my impression too. I had always read armario for closet, which is why I was going to tell him that guardarropa wasn't a closet, but I see where it says they a synonyms. - 0074b507, Sep 12, 2010
