our church give financial assistance to certain people ..how do you say financial assitance?

Bienvenido -Welcome!
Have you tried the Translation tool? If not, go to the "Translation" tab at the top and enter your phrase. Therre are three separate translation services - and you may get three different answeres! I think Google is the best fo the three. Just know that you can't take what they say as Gospel.
The answer I found there was "asistencia financiera".
