Hey, vosotros/vosotras means you (plural , informal) which means when you talk to a couple of friends you use vosotras if they are all girls and vosotros even if they are 5 girls and a boy smile

ustedes means you also.. again plural but formal so when you talk to the people in a meeting you need to use ustedes and gender isn't important with ustedes

EDIT : Thanks for reminding me Guillermo2. And in Latin America vosotros/vosotras don't exist. They use ustedes ( and its conjugation) to say you (plural)

There is no formal and informal difference. "Vosotros" is used in Spain" and "ustedes" in Latin America. - 00e657d4, Aug 18, 2010
Thanks I forgot to mention about that. in Latin America it's like that, but in spain Ustedes is formal. - culé, Aug 18, 2010

The answer about familiar and polite above is correct. However, I've also been told that vosotros is not used in South and Central America. They use only ustedes as the plural form of you, whether polite or familiar. The vosotros form is used in Spain.
