"He" is an auxilary verb used in 1st person, present-perfect.

Ya he ido ... I have already gone.

Ya he comido .... I have already eaten.

Ya he visto la película ..... I have already seen the film.

Hi Fran ,

He = él

actually in Spanish you don't use subject pronouns ( Yo = I , ella = she , el = he ....etc ) because the verbs in Spanish tells you who is doing the verb from the conjugation of the verb for examples check this link When to use "subject pronoun" in Spanish: yo, tú, él, ella....?

Hola Fran! The Spanish word He is a form of the verb Haber. Look up that verb and you will see that it can be used as a helper verb, similar to how we use 'Have' in English. (I have eaten...) wink

I share the credit with you, Chaparro! You mentioned the root word, "Haber" - 005faa61, Aug 8, 2010

I recommend that you have a look at this link. In most situations, 'he' isn't used.

Hi Dave! I think the link you put in your comment was wrong, it went to a note about subject pronouns, the questioner meant "he" in Spanish, not "he" in English. - amykay, Aug 8, 2010
I think the question is answered perfectly by Julian, directly below. I know the question is confusing if they meant he=el, or he=have. - amykay, Aug 8, 2010

The Spanish word for he is él. However, unlike in English, you can infer that you are talking about "he" by the ending on the verb. For example: He is handsome.

Él es guapo...However, since "es" already means he is or she is or it is, unless you don't know exactly who you are talking about all you'd have to say is, "Es guapo", and every Spanish speaker would understand you perfectly well.
