What is the difference in expression with me va and voy

Just a bit confused with the above.

Are they interchangeable or not.

Me va a asistir la fiesta.

Voy a asistir la fiesta.

However, looking at your examples you are including the Ir+a+verb infinitive periphrasis for stating future tense along with the use of Ir or Irse.

Me va a asistir la fiesta. (irse depicts movement...leaving a site)

I am leaving to attend the party. (or I am going to be leaving shortly for the party)

Voy a asistir la fiesta.

I am going to attend the party. (Used to state that you will be going to the party in the future.)

Voy a la fiesta.

I am going to the party. (one meaning is that I am on my way to the party. Another is that I am going to the party in the future (like the periphrasis as the present tense can also refer to the future).

Voy a asistir la fiesta. = I am going to attend the party. (using the verb: ir = to go)

or you could say:

Me voy a asistir la fiesta. = I'm off to attend the party. (I'm leaving right now) (using the verb: irse = to go away, to leave
