Yo deseo que vs Me deseo que

Question

In asking a question like, I wish it was earlier, or I wish I had thought of that, which is correct?? Thanks

We had a similar usage in a thread earlier this morning. It looked like the pronoun was being used for emphasis, kind of like saying Yo mismo rather than Yo, but I have no idea whether it is correct or not.

I'd omit the Me or switch to Ojalá que and solve the dilemma.

Notice that the dictionary lists no pronominal verb desearse.

I think me deseo que is more emphatic, like "i wish for myself". I think. I may be interpreting wrong.

I love ojalá and also 'me gustaría haberlo pensado'
