Nunca entendí las razones por las que nos imponen la atadura del cinturón de seguridad y no se limitan a que tengamos la *opción* de usarlo. Con el mismo criterio con el que nos obligan al cinturón, podrían imponernos el día de mañana el deber de viajar desnudos para facilitar la autopsia.

I have never understood why wearing a seatbelt was imposed on us rather than being an option to use it. With the same criterion that we are forced to wear the belt, tomorrow, it could be our duty to drive naked to facilitate the autopsy.

Entiendo por qué Alvite está de mal humor acerca de usar el cinturón de seguridad. Sin embargo, mi vida se salvó porque llevaba el cinturón de seguridad la noche en la que estuve en un accidente con un hombre borracho. Entonces, estoy de acuerdo con esta ley.

I understand why Alvite is cranky about wearing a seat belt. However, my life was saved because I wore a seat belt the night I was in an accident with a drunk man. So, I am in agreement with this law.

I have never understood the reason why they make it a law to wear seat belts and don't just give us the option of using them. By this same criteria (token) tomorrow they could impose a law that says that we have to drive naked to facilitate the autopsy.
