Hello all, I was wondering, how can you put verbs in past tense? for example, if i want to say, 'where did you go?' then would it be something like 'adonde vas tu?' but isnt that where are you going?

thx :D

In this case it would be ¿Adónde fuiste? Though fuistes is commonly heard instead of fuiste, this is not really correct. To find other verb conjugations in the past tense, you can look up the word here. Spanish has two past tenses with which you will be primarily concerned now, the preterit and the imperfect. Here's a reference article on how to know when to use the preterit, and here's one for the imperfect.
