What is an imperfect conjugation?
What does it have to do with the past, and what is the conjugation? As well as the irregulars

HI ashley, have a look at our conjugation tool, it will clear things up for you.
An imperfect conjugation is one which conjugates a verb in the past (imperfect tense)
It is called the imperfect tense because it is describing an action that is incomplete or unfinished This tense is very different from the Simple past or Preterite which is used to describe a completed action that only occured once.
Imperfect = I was doing I used to do. For example; (Yo) trabajaba en Brasil = I used to work/was working in Brazil No mention is made of when the action was completed/finished. e.g.: (Yo) Escribía cartas a mi amiga = I used to write/was writing letters to my friend (Yo) trabajaba como un abogado en Madrid = I used to work/was working as a lawyer in Madrid
Contrast this with the Simple Past (tense) Le dí un libro = I gave him a book or Escribí una carta a ella = I wrote a letter to her
