"Voy a leer" is informal future (I recently finished lesson 2.2 which covers that wink )

Simple future is explained in Lesson 3.9 Generally speaking, the English equivalent is "will ----" or "shall ---"

I will study tomorrow.

Lesson 3.9 explains the endings, and gives lots of examples.

Also the conjugation link will help you find the simple future conjugations of any verb you need help with.

The simple future tense is, I believe, when we use the combination of "voy + a" to express the future.

"Voy a leer" (I'm going to read)

"¿Vas a la tienda?" (Are you going to the store?)

"Va a hablar" (He is going to speak)

HI damien, welcomegrin

Simple future is formed with certain endings in Spanish:

I will go: iré.

Look at the conjugation on the conjugation tab.
