Also, when translating "ing" endings, remember that though the exact verb for verb translation would be the present progressive endings of "ando" and "iendo", English speakers tend to use this verb tense far more often than it is used in Spanish. Often times the present tense will be used instead of the "ando" "iendo" endings in the Spanish language.

ie.

"voy al banco" would be "I am going to the bank"

"escribo una carta" can be "I am writing a letter."

Also, the iendo/ando endings are not used for future events (use future tense instead rather than the present progressive) They are only used for "ing" actions directly in progress as this moment. Here are two examples that would use the future tense instead:

ie. "I'm finishing the class tomorrow." "I'm cooking dinner for my family tonight."

Estar + verb + (ando/iendo ending)

Verbs ending in "ar" get the -ando ending, verbs ending in "er" or "ir" verbs get the -iendo ending.

I'm walking.

Estoy caminando.

We have a Reference Page that gives a fuller explanation about the "ando" and "iendo" enings for verbs. Such a verb conjugation is called the "gerund."

You can read more here ----> Gerunds

I think this reference page will be a big help to you.
