conjugating Oír
Any tricks? I always translate the present tense as if it were preterite (ex- saying oyó for i hear, but it really means he heard)

I hate to say it, but that's one of those verbs you just have to memorize. The most accurate verb conjugation you'll find is by the Spanish Academy at
rae.es
Type in the verb, and when the dictionary entry comes up, click on the blue button that says "conjugar." It will give you a great chart. But sorry, I don't know any tricks. =(
Hope this helps at least a bit!
oigo oyes oye oimos oyen
oí oiste oyó oimos oyeron
oía oías oía oíamos oían
oiga oigas oiga oigamos oigan
This is all that I can think of at the moment.
