Where can I learn basic spanish to use as a cashier?
Hi. I am a cashier and I am learning spanish. I would like to be able to talk more to customers who speak spanish. where can I find flashcards on here and/or lessons on learning spanish more just for talking to customers in retail? If possible. I am doing the other lessons, but I would like to focus a bit on this area first. Thanks! Gracias!

I would do a list of common sentences and words you use with your costumers in English and then try to create flash cards.
Example:
Greetings common sentences.
Transaction - money related sentences.Numbers.
Question about products. Products names.
Also tell you Hispanic clients Buenos dias! and that you are learning Spanish and they will be delighted and ready to help you.
Good luck! Buena suerte !
On the flashcards section on the upper-left section of the website
Click here for useful vocabulary for a cashier, if you deal with a lot of vegetables. Also, if you have some words you can't find, you can just ask here and likely a native speaker will provide the answer to the hard-to-find vocabulary word.

I see you've started the Learn Spanish lessons. Keep up with those, because you are going to come across vocabulary and verbs that deal with making purchases, etc. I would encourage you to focus on numbers, and greetings.
I hope that helps! Before you go to Colombia let us know if there are specific questions you have so you'll be prepared.

I have an idea the is not for this website that is relatively easy.
Go to your local Spanish food store or market (most local organic fruit markets are run by Mexicans) and sit and listen. Try to comprehend what the cashiers say to the costumers, go home, go online and look up each meaning and carefully find what words you want to learn the most
also, you should take a notebook or paper and pen with you to take notes
Have a good day
yeah, he is right. lol
